AKA, "The Wilstone Beast"

Ok Guys, it's about time the cat gets let out of the bag. A vast majority of you know about this, but for those of you that don't know, here's the straight scoop!

I approached Mark about the car, telling him that that car belongs on the track and the next thing you knew, I was driving to the North side of Detroit to pick up the car. :dancenana::dancenana: Man that trip kicked my ass!!! Over 700 miles in one day! :fart: But the good part was, the car now has a new home and it will be taken care of the way that car should be taken care of!! :bowdown: A bunch of die hard Ford guys built the car and a die hard Ford guy will make sure the car is represented the way this car should be represented! :rockon:

My plans for the car are an additional 200 RWHP for starters. This is at the minimum. The weight will also drop somewhere between 50 to 100#. Obviously I will be relegated to the AIX class of NASA if and when I decide to run with them. I may run with Dan's AV8SS series before I do the NASA group. Obviously, very limited with either. Only time will tell.

Pic of car is attached.

Stay tuned for some serious C6-Z06 and ZR-1 Corvette ass kicking with this beast!!! :dancenana::dancenana:

I'll reserve the Cobra R duties for the slow stuff now! :-D

history of the car?

your plans?

eta?

:dancenana::pepper::lol::eek::thumbsup:

Ok, if you must know! ;-)

Car build-up is fully documented here:

http://www.on-trackperformance.com/aiindex.htm

The car came to me complete, sans motor. My KB IRS Delrin install was here:

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=257959&page=5&highlight=confidence

Starting with post #102. You'll notice the car color has changed from the color that my R obviously came! ;-)

My plans for the car are a nice and easy schedule, well for an old guy. :dw: Maybe a race here and there and an OT event thrown in for good measure. I'm no spring chicken you know!! :cryying: There are NO plans for a complete schedule of anything! Other than one Summer of fun! :idea:

I was hoping to have the car done for my invitation to Auto-Bahn October 17th of this year. But it just won't happen. Too many complications to the equation. Primarily due to the install from hell for the R motor and my indecision on aluminum or iron block for this car. Needless to say, this car won't hit the track until next year, with an iron block SBF pushrod motor. If any of my other projects are any indication of what's to be expected, thanks to the help of Marv at C and M Performance, this 'Stang will No Doubt, bolt out of the gate like a thoroughbred ready to strike like a hungry Cobra at any given moment!

So it looks like the car's debut will be 2009 with a minimum amount of pressure on the preparation crew. The motor is now officially in the works and I hope to have the install and dyno shakedown completed by the end of the year. :-D So it will sit with maximum anticipation waiting for Spring to break out of it's shell! With a new look of course!!! :rolling:

Congrats Bruce. I looked at that car (photo's anyway) before I had a clue. Very, very, very nice. Looks like a near perfect AIX vehicle. Of course, the cage may need some reinforcement, but otherwise you should be OK ;)

jesus christ dood!

if you don't mind me asking, what the hell do you do for a living?
you must be banking pretty decently to have two race cars in the garage and a gt500 for a daily???

I'm just a starving bottling and canning manufacturer. Oh wait, sorry. I actually stole that line from Brian. :p

Thanks Bruce. I think I can get away with only adding about 50# of cage in the weak spots! :lol::lol::lol:

Too cool Bruce.:banana::rockon::beer::bowdown:

Patience is a virtue...............at least that's what they say but I don't believe them either.:bash:

We will have to pull a couple plug wires off of the car to be able to even stay within sight of you on the track.:idea::thumbsup:

I will admit, I have not talked to Dan for quite some time. He's a great guy and I'd like to support his series! :)

Clay, I'm very anxious to drive it as you may very well imagine!

Well you are still making much faster progress than me :)

We'll need to see some pics of yours soon! Unless it's too "far out" at this point!!?? :poke:

'04 BIW (or actually blue in this case)

when can I drive it?

;)

I think after the amount of work you and Mark put into it I don't see why not!? :beer: But that's drive it, NOT race it! :p

..........you know where I was going with that :-D

I saw the bio on that car when I got my T2-R. The attention to detail on that build is exceptional. Good news that it found it's way into your garage. More marauding SN95 fight video's :mj:
