i think the 03 cobra is a hard car for ford to top, people expected to see a much better car like the 03 did to the 01...the gt500 is a better car all around, but not such a big difference from the 03 like it was before.

you can't be any clearer then how crystal clear you're being; perfectly put

the only lap time that i have is a modded gt500 at vir, and that has yet to be confirmed. a 600rwhp gt500 was lapping vir full course at 206. which is lap time a profesionally driven stock z6 z06.

however if mm is using irs in thier nasa cars and still losing to the griggs live axle set up that in itself is a pretty big statement.

i am not here to argue. a correct geometry irs is a better option. the point i am making is that a live axle can compete in the corners with many high performance street cars. a quick discussion with a 996 gt2(ruf 550) owner showed this to me.

was his comments after seeing the live axle set up that turned the 206 at vir.

No argument from me. After all this is a discussion forum.
You are 100% right. If the IRS geometry is set-up properly, it SHOULD handle live axle it's ass.
I drive my car mostly on the street. IRS is much more compliant over whips and jingles.
There is no way to set-up live axle as well as IRS.

In reality the terminator probably had more rear horsepower. It was not stock.I owned my 04 Cobra for 3 years and loved it. I now have the gt500 and enjoy it as well. Just remember the raw power and fun of driving the terminator included an uncomfortable seat, creaks and rattles and sometimes a violent ride. The gt500 is a better car all around. It is more comfortable, handles better. It is amazingly refined. It like when you running 80-90 on the highway and you are thinking you are running 45. I guess what I am saying is its a civilzed muscle car Just my 02

It didn't whine or sound like a pullied Eaton.
I pullied my M112 before purchasing the KB 2.6L

If the Cobra was not stock (pulleywise) that discredits the entire comparison.

Don't you think the people running the show would have disclaimed that?

They'd have no credibility anywhere if that wasn't a stock or close to stock race.

Exhaust can be excused here, but a pulley would be a blatant power adder.

Somebody mentioned they thought a 2.93 pulley was on the Cobra.

How in the heck could you discern that based on what the video displayed??

Have you ever owned a Terminater? I've owned a 03' DSG and a Mystic 04' Okay maybe it was a 2.81 but it was def. not a 3.25 or 3.50. I puased the video and closed the viewing screen where I seen that it was not a stock pulley(computer geek) regardless of size it is not stock.
