Where are you located in WI? Concerning your question, you should be okay if all you did was unloosen and retighten the bolts. The sealant had started to dry after a couple of hours but wasn't fully cured yet.
Based on my own experience in this problem I'd venture my guess that the fitting along the front R/S frame rail by the condenser is the culprit, it's the liquid line from the condenser . I believe it's caused by the engine torqueing over time and slightly twisting the connection. Don't despair...
It could be an Apten port, I have one on my 03. I believe Bob Steigmeyer was doing them back in 05-06 then opened his own business to do them. That may explain why there's no identification, same as mine. By the way, stay away from those aluminum press on only pullies, I had one and one day it...
Just a couple thoughts you may consider. Check with your local parts store or MOOG for a set of stock replacemnt springs.
Another thing that nobody seems to mention is dropped spindles. There are sources out there that can supply them, The best thing about them is you retain the same qualities...
Thanks for the kind words Bob, I'm in the middle of a small project right now for the 03 and when I get that sorted out I'll give you a call. Take care my friend, we'll talk later. Daryl.
Bob, we've talked before when I purchased some shifter gaskets for both Mustangs. I learned the hard way many years ago when I ran up the miles on my 70 Boss 302 which I ordered when I got out of the Navy in Oct. 69. It had 4:30 rear gears close ratio 4 speed, oil cooler and no P/S, you can...
I'll chime in here currently 2378 miles and prepped it for sale on Sept. 6 2002 never been driven in the rain or inclement weather looks better than the day it came off the transport.
I have them on both of my Mustangs, 86 GT front and rear, 03 Cobra front and rear, never had any issues with them. Also, I live in WI. and don't drive either car in the rain or winter months.
The reason dogs are so loved is because they wag their tales instead of their tongues.
My two bassets are GT and NOVA, they're a nose with legs. Sorry no pics.
I'm glad I'm not a Ford Tech any longer and am retired. In my opinion Ford did okay with the design but the dependance on gadgets and options is over the top. There's alot going on with that car, not to mention how the hell long will it
take not only to order one but diagnosing weird problems...
When I was a tech. I saw that many times, in all likelyhood the nut that secures the B+ cable was loose and the connector started to arc, which caused it to further loosen and the rest is history. Word to all, check that nut on the B+ terminal from time to time and make sure it's tight. Vinnie...
20 years ago today I prepped, purchased, and drove my 03 home. I had originally thought that I wouldn't put no more than 500 miles a year on it. Well that first year of ownership I put 610 miles on it. Since that time (19 years) it has an additional 1750 miles added.
I retired in 2010 and am...
