Can the front sub-frame bolts be replaced with the IRS in the car? I want to order the FT 1600 bolt kit, but I really don't want to remove the IRS for a full bushing replacement yet. Is this a novice or veteran mechanic job?

So, event registration was advertised to be from 10 am - 1pm, with judging at 3 and awards at 4 pm. I showed up at 10 am and registration was already closed due to the lot being full. Only 120 spots, and probably 250 cars showed.

The shifter is stock. As for the clutch work, it was one of the few service records the previous owner could not find. He said it was done around 20k miles, and it was done at a Ford dealer, but that's all I know.

Maybe I am reacting to nothing. Definitely need a 2nd opinion from someone more experienced with the T-56 & IRS. The clutch isn't slipping, and the pedal & cable are smooth. I've experienced a bad cable before and know what that feels like. I'm probably more concerned with the IRS bolts...

Just thinking outloud (so to speak).... There is a business making a reproduce, but you have to glue it to your hood. I wonder if it is possible to find the same "aircraft firewall" material in ~3 mm thickness and glue it over the OEM hood liner backing. Maybe I can peal some of the old...

I'm leaning toward reinforcing the edges, from the back side, just to keep it from deteriorating any further. The idea of putting new fabric on it is interesting.

Has anyone tried to repair their Cobra hood liner? Mine has some ragged places on the front edge and around a couple of the plastic 'pins' that hold it up. I want to try to repair it since it isn't available new anymore. Any suggestions?

The problem with the AUX-FRD04 is that it has to be plugged in BETWEEN the radio and the Sat tuner module. Without the module, the radio does not recognize Sat or Aux as an input option. AUX-FRD04 is not an input, but it hijacks the actual Sat tuner input.

I was afraid of that. The radio has the Sat button, and the port on the back, so I figured there had to be a dealer installed option.

Does anyone have for sale, or know where I can get, a factory satellite tuner module to plug into the 16 pin port on the back of my Mach460 radio? I'm not looking for an aftermarket version, but an OEM version so I can use an AUX-FRD04 aux input adapter to work. Alternatively, does anyone...

I have an 04 Cobra. The 04 Mach460 head unit has 3 ports on the back (plus antenna), but my harness only has two plugs. Still trying to figure out if that is normal, but the M460 system info is confusing. I'm probably going to get an aux adapter like you're describing.

Yea, probably going to regret downgrading, especially considering how much effort it will take to extricate the custom system. Definitely wish I had pulled the harness from the junker now, I'm going to need it. If this was my daily driver, I would want the modern system.
