Thats good news. Hopefully there will still be some 07's on the lots when the 08'd do arrive and push the 07 prices down to MSRP.

From what I have heard the 08 production will start 6/25, the last day to order an 07 is 5/11. The last 07s will hit the dealers end of June the first 08 towards the end of July, give or take a week or two. More GT500s should continue the slow drop in prices, but don't expect the current trend to change much. MSRP has been out there since day one, but is not the norm.

I pre-ordered my 2008 GT500 today!! Job one for regualr mustangs and GTs is 06/25/2007. Ford performance indicated that they have not received any info as to the date of job one for the 2008 GT 500. It should, however, start shorty after the 25th. So hopefully I'll be driving my new Shelby sometime in the fall of 2008. I did not pay a big ADM either, patience and a dealer who is a personal friend paid off.

The dealer where i bought my gt500,took a deposit yerterday on a 2008 Shelby GT500KR,of $25,000.00 dollars. The deal is $50,000.00 over sticker, and no telling what that will be . So looks like it's a 6figure shelby gt500kR,without taxs, title, license plate ect.Thats way out of my league. I'm still trying to figure how they are assured of getting one,but you never know.I hope they do and this will be one excited coustomer!!!!

I can't wait to buy a GT500KR 4-5 years from now for @$25-$30k. Nothing like watching someone take a $75k-$80k hit :)

Whatever crack you're smoking, please don't pass it around because it's seriously tainted shiz.

My run of the mill '03 cobra is worth roughly $27k (7,100 miles), it was built 6-02. It's nearly 5 years old. It was purchased new for $32k. It's only dropped $5k in value in 5 years. The KR is going to be highly collectable, one of only 1000. The only way you'll be able to touch one for $25-30k is if it's totalled and/or missing it's drivetrain because of a theft, or was several feet under water for any amount of time. Otherwise, you're WAY off.

But feel free to make any attempts at proving me wrong 4-5 years from now.

Considering '03 Cobra go for about $25K - FOUR YEARS later - I highly doubt you will be getting an 07 or 08 GT500 for that figure. . . you can wait, and in the meantime the rest of us will drive:coolman:

The GT 500KR is not meant to compete with the C6 or the Blue Devil/SS.
The Blue Devil: LS9 Super Charged 650+ HP.
It’s has to compete with the upcoming Challenger and Camaro.
It not going to win the speed or HP war with the Super Charged Camaro.
The Camaro will be a lot less $$ than the GT 500KR.

but will the 09/10 camaro ss have a lower msrp than the 09 gt500? i am assuming the 09 gt500 will be close to 45k msrp with gas tax next summer.

the Camaro's and Challengers will be around low 30's watch! ford will not drop the price on these any time soon, but hey it only makes the camaro and challenger more appealing to the pocket and performance...
