Would running 100% water w/ red line water wetter help cooling?

Stock stat is a 180. I'm running a 170, adding a 1/8" hole. Engine stays at 180 at highway speeds. Resetting the low and high fan speeds is necessary.

I actually run a 160 now, but I am thinking of switching to a 180 b/c many engine builders have told me 180 is better.

You need to keep the oil above 180 degrees to work effectively, and going too cold on the coolant temps will hinder that.

So I have a 160 thermostat and I datalogged my car tonight (very cool). I let the car warm up and then cruised around for over 30 minutes and my coolant temps were @ 170-174, but most consistently @ 172. Those coolant temps seem fine to me.

My IATs ranged from ~60(cruising) to ~90(WOT). I am ordering a water temp gauge and a oil temp gauge along with a saleen gauge pod tonight so I can monitor these vitals more often.

Datalogged again today during the day and I was 172-174 @ idle around 178-180 @ cruising and 184-186 when I did a few WOT blasts.

I have a 160 stat. These temps look fine to me. As long as I let the car warm up I should be fine.
