As the title states.. I'm looking for some information or calculator or whatever to figure out effective compression ratios.. I am collecting parts for a rebuild here in the near future. It's a b head motor with factory cams. I have some Manley 17/18cc dished pistons... I know it's supposed to b roughly 8.4:1/8.5:1 with everything as is. What I'm wanting to know is if I milled the block or heads say .010, .020, .030 what kind of compression ratios would I b looking at respectively? How far or much can b Milled without running into PTV ISSUES... Looking to possibly get the car back up to 9.5-10:1 area of possible to use wha I have as I got them for a steal (budget rebuild) hense the name my car has acquired, (budget b head)
Thanks guys
