1995-1999 m3? vs 1995 cobra

today i went up against a 1995-1999 m3 (not sure what year) it was stock. i have a 1995 mustang cobra with flowmasters and cold air intake. we went from a 30 mph roll to about 87mph. i was about 1 - 1&1/2 car lengths ahead of him. i had to turn so i couldnt get to get his specs.

btw - i know this is a little off topic but do you think that a bassani x pipe and bassani headers will add that much perfromance? what is the most worthwhile upgrades for my car that are under $1100?

Yes, the headers and X pipe will add power and sweet sound!! A custom chip/dyno tune,and some gears would help.
You might be able to do all of these for around $1100.
Have you bought a new shifter yet?

thanx, i just ordered the shifter today, i ordered a steeda tri-ax shifter.

Best shifter, had one in my GT, and got one in my cobra, that or the pro 5.0 and u can't go wrong. Get long tubes, I never had bassani, but I am sure they are great, had BBKs on my Gt and loved them.
