This is a new 2011 ZX-10r making its way down the strip. I think the rider weighs in between 220 and 230 suited up..... This is no "jockey" rider.

yea, i had an 2008 10r and the thing was rediculous. nothing to brag about the rider there... i looked at his other videos and he has launch control to help him get out of the hole and it won't let him wheelie.

mine saw 10.3 at 143mph bone stock with 400mi on it... not even broken in. that was at the shittiest track around, would have been an easy 10.0 at a better track with a better DA. oh and that was without the aid of all of these electronics and TC, and it wasn't strapped. that was the first day i ever went down the track

That thing is sick!!!! I sat on and stared at one at the bike show last month and it felt as good as a bike could feel standing still. Felt like I was sitting on a 600, not a liter bike.

I'm not a big fan of driving aids at all....but I think this is one I will like. This TC system is smart in that it will prevent a power wheelie, but will allow you to do a rider-induced wheelie.

Did anyone see the other video of his race against the '09 ZX-10r? Perhaps the other rider sucked, but the '11 absolutely walked away from the '09. The '11's are slightly more powerful, but not that much more. Would be interesting to know if the '09 rider wasn't up to snuff or if the TC on the hit makes that much of a difference.

I gotta have one of these!!!!! Make mine black!

Yeah, I was going to say...With the right rider 1kcc bikes have been capable of 9s for sometime now.

150mph is a big trap for a heavier rider with just a slip-on for power mods though.

Those bikes were lowered and geared just like in the vid so no they weren't 100% stock...

Heck, 600's are doing that now with the same mods...

imagine if it was a eurospec............ Plus, I am even more impressed that the guy isn't really even a drag racer and still managed to run in the 9s.

I'll be impressed when it runs 8's with the current SS spec rules...

I really like the new ZX10 and have not had a chance to ride the new 11 yet. I have had 2 first gens, an 04 and my current 05, and the 04 went 9.96 at 140 mph with just a slip on and strapped. I think we will see these 2011's in the low 9's real soon. Garths first gen he had before was a complete monster. All carbon fiber with a built motor... drooool

got my '05 636 to run in the 9's, bolt ons, strapped suspension, and a 120lb rider. Although it was a 9.9 @ 134-6ish? no where near 140 or 150.
Bike put down 128whp. 10.4 with my fat ass on there.
