pulling trailers loaded they do about the same 12-13 mpg. The two engines numbers are really close. 365hp 420tq for the eco and 411hp 434tq. what the eco lacks in hp, it makes it up by making 420@2500. both excellent choices in my book
Does anyone have any real world towing fuel economy on the two?
Around town, the EB seems to get better mileage, but you ask that 3.5 to work a little, and I've seen it get pretty bad mileage.
IMO, give me the old school V8 for work duty.
IMO - Give me a 2500HD Duramax Diesel, its great on gas and hauls ass plus can pull 18K :banana:

My thoughts exactly!
I rock a Duramax every day at work. Other than injectors, wheel bearings, blown head gaksets, and the transmission being retarded it's been a great truck lol. Oh and it gets 9-13 mpg depending on the load, 15mpg at best unloaded. :rolling:

Agreed. I love diesels, I just hate all the issues. All of our gas trucks, including my personal truck, Just keep on going!
You were not driving a GMC.:nonono: The truck runs flawless and I have not had one issue. Oh and I can run with the best of them on the highway did a few mods and the truck rolls out.:burnout::burnout:
My friend has the 2wd eco f150. Ran 14.2 at 96mph with a muffler and a filter. It get's about 12 to 13 mpg when towing.
That is AWESOME!!! This would be a tough choice for me 6.2 vs Ecoboost.
Nope it was a chebby lol!
i'm thinking if the ecoboost was spooled up it may have won.
