Hey man anytime. The way I see it is that we all like fast, clean looking, non riced out cars. Tell your buddy to start going from a 40mph roll in second gear and shift around 5,700 rpms - 5,800 rpms. There is no need to go to 6,000rpms on the stock turbo.

40 is good. My buddy has a modded srt4 (still stock turbo) with ~290whp and going from 40, him and a ~380whp cobra went back and forth, with the srt4 barely nosing him.
And srt4s have a very strong 4th gear (5th gear ain't bad either), so a long race often favors them.
