99-01 Cobras had functional vent for heat, the V6 hoods were solid. I'd take a V6 hood if available.Wasn't the 99/01 cobra hood used on 02+ v6s or am I confused?
I've been watching fb marketplace like a hawk for about 2 months.Have you looked here:
See if they have any V6 hoods in your area. They are about $100 here in FL.

I don't remember my 01's being functional. Heat shield/hood mat/whatever you want to call it on the underside covered the whole thing.I never knew that
Did you ever notice the vent piece having slots? The "functionality" of the can be questioned, but there was a slot behind it.I don't remember my 01's being functional. Heat shield/hood mat/whatever you want to call it on the underside covered the whole thing.
The functional vent was the one in the middle of the hood?
The vent piece may have slots, but there is no flow going on there. The hood blanket covers it completely and whatever slot is cut out on the hood is so the plastic vent can snap in place.Did you ever notice the vent piece having slots? It would also end up being right over the belts.
Honestly, just pick a hood off a v6 and maybe save some cash.
Really surprised you can't find one locally.Post #8: "I'd take a V6 hood if available."
