Security/Safety/Theft-Deterrent Situation:

My buddy has a 2023 F250 Diesel 4x4 Crew Cab SW truck that we'll end up parking for a couple of weeks at the Airport's Long-Term parking lot.
I don't know exactly which Diesel engine is in his truck at the moment.
He's currently on the road right now with work, so I can't simply pop the hood open OR crack open his owner's manual.

The plan is, for extra security, I was thinking of pulling either the starter fuse or rely. That way, the truck is still "there" when we get back.
Since it's one of those Fords with the key-fob only/push-start system.

Being a diesel, I figuring it's a bad idea to lose diesel fuel line pressure.... hence, pulling the fuel pump fuse or relay.

Am I right?

I would lock the door, and leave it. This isn't 1969, It'll be there when you get back. If not, I'll sell him a new one.

I routinely leave my vehicles in long term. 2019 corvette GS and 2022 ram 2500 lock it and leave. I’ve done this for years and never had an issue. Hopefully your experience is the same.

Concern for cat theft in long term parking?

You could always put an air tag in it short term...
