Bap/hobbs

Unplugged my pair of wires from my Hobbs switch in the engine bay and jumpered them together. Why would my BAP come on and stay on even though the ignition isnt on? I could hear it purring away with the trunk open key off.
Its spliced to the yel/grn so it shouldnt be coming on until the key is turned.

That wire is obviously not a remote wire. . . i suggest finding a remote wire, use a volt meter or something. . . or getting a wire diagram for the BAP
