So since i gt out of the military and moved home, i started detailing more. The products I use are Megs 105/205, CCS orange pad and a chemical guys microfiber finishng pad with VERY little 205 to get a jeweling effect. with the finishing pad, i dont cross hatch, i just use a side to side motion until the material is almost gone....it is imperitave not to use too much 205 and too brush the pad after every pass. it works FLAWLESS on black cars.....got some tshirts and sweatshirts made

dayum, nice work. Are you putting anything on after the 205? My torch red paint isn't 1/10 as scratched as that black cobra and you have made me a believer that my paint can be brought to scratch free. How did that cobra get that bad in the first place??

it sat on a car lot, they just wipe them off every day to make them look good so it just scratches them..I havent had a need after 205 with the pad and method i use takes it ALL away.

Please visit my FB page to see the Red 10th i did

So you just finish with black pad and 205? No wax, seal, etc.

I'm just getting started and trying to find the best way to do all this.

Always Seal and wax. I thought you meant another fine polish step.

Nice work man!! Looks like you have some great high end customers!

I've done several "1 steps" with M205 and a CG MF cutting pad (black) and it works pretty well. The VAST majority of my customers don't want to do multiple steps so it's a good compromise. I have also had really good luck with CG V34 or V36 on an orange hex cutting pad or MF cutting pad. All with a Flex 3401. I almost never use my PC anymore. I top with blacklight and V07. Not perfection but they are pretty quick, the customers are happy and the $ is good. I hope to find better customers once I get back stateside that want and appreciate what a multiple step process can do for paint! (and are willing to pay for it!)

Keep up the good work man!

Looks like some great work! Wish I was closer to you. My car's paint unfortunately looks like the first picture with the black cobra.
