K... So I guess most of you guys already know what I'm doing, and I'm kinda bored and avoiding homework, so I guess I'll lay it all out. I bought my 2003 Mustang GT a year ago this past November. I did the normal shit like lowering springs, shocks, 4.10's, sfc's, etc. It simply wasn't enough and still felt slow as balls.
I began looking into power adders and became set on piecing together a vortech or procharger kit. To make a long story short, I ended up selling my GT motor to Jeff Miller (down payment) and chose to go 4v, which started as just an n/a 4v swap, then progressed to a built 4v swap, and finally a built, blown, stroked, and ported 4v swap.
I purchased a Teksid block and 04 Mach 1 heads last year, and began piecing it together. I bought the MMR 4.75L fully forged rotating assembly rated to 1000 hp, Manley rods and pistons, .020 over which will produce a CR of 9.27:1, with a Kellog mini-stroker crank, all ARP hardware (Main Studs, Head Studs, Side Bolts, etc), MMR Oil pan, Canton windage tray, and 98 Cobra cams. The machine work on the block was just finished and I will be picking it up from Klispies in Hamburg Wednesday morning to bring down to Alfred, where Steve will begin assembly. As you know, Steve is going TT, so I will be getting everything I need to use his Eaton. Plans were originally to have the blower ported by Posi, however a few things have changed and became more expensive, so the port will be held off for a couple months. For fuel, I installed a Fore hat with twin GT pumps, dual fpdm setup, and a Kenne Bell BAP. With 60lb or 80lb injectors (still need to purchase), my fuel system will be able to support 750hp. I have solid motor mounts, Flowtech LT headers and catless X pipe, 3.73 gears, viper spec T56 with liberty 26 spline input, spec aluminum flywheel and aluminum driveshaft, MGW orange handle shifter, 04 cobra gauge cluster, 00 Cobra R carbon fiber hood, 04 cobra front bumper, AEM wideband, still need a clutch (prob Spec stage 3), a set of idler pullies, I'd like a 2.76 upper instead of the 2.8 I'm getting, all fluids, and little things that will inevitably come up. Upgraded rear axles will come later in the summer.
With the port and 2.76 upper, Posi and Eric Brooks from Brookspeed estimated my power to be between 545-575 to the wheels. I'm gonna hope for low 500's without the port, but I hope to have the blower ported sooner rather than later. Let me know what you guys think, if you have any suggestions, ect. This is just the beginning. If my end goal was 600rwhp, I would not have bought a rotating assembly rated to 1000hp :eek3d:. Future plans include a whipple or possibly Kenne Bell, or maybe even a hellion hellraiser kit. I doubt the latter though
P.S. I STILL HAVE MY BBK CATTED X PIPE, GT HOOD, AND GT CAI FOR SALE
