Cops have GTs??!!

Pulled up next to a Black Mustang GT with deep tinted windows and nice rims, you know, to say hi and nice car, and got a dirty look from the cop inside. I'm sure he would have pulled me over if I had been doing anything illegal, he tailed me for 20 min. before finally squealing around a corner doing prolly 35 mph. Trying to show off for the cobra maybe... but I'm off subject. Whats up with these cops getting cars that can sorta keep up? I wanna be a undercover cop in a GT!

Anyway, I've heard about several cities getting Slowmaros etc. Anyone else notice this?

A lot of towns in this area use seized cars as well.

I saw a tinted C5 behind an LS1 on the side of the road. Thought there was a problem or accident. But as I got closer I saw the lights coming from inside the C5. It was an unmarked patrol car.

Later found out from a friend on that dept that it was a drug seizure and they can use the car until it goes to auction, which can take up to a year or more.

So watch out who you go up against

Many departments put regular passenger plates and many times out of state plates on their undercover vehicles.

There's some kind of police GT/Cobra hybrid running around Raleigh, NC. Since the vehicle may be an undercover vehicle, I won't reveal the color or year model, but it has blue lights discreetly mounted and some sort of electronic device (not radar) mounted on the dash. I doubt that it was an impersonator, but your guess is as good as mine about what purpose it serves.

I know here in IL the state police have had a few B4C Camaros (z28 without the badges) and some GT's running around. Most of these cars are downstate, and I was told were purchased to target "aggressive driving and road rage" on interstates. Reminds me of the old Special Service Mustangs I used to see in Florida. Makes the chase a little more fun!

Yeah I saw a green Z that pulled someone over the other day on I-80 near Anawan Illinois. I also have a State Police Trooper friend that tools around in a Black GT

CT state police are using grand prixs, impalas, z28 camaros, and mustangs. A buddy of mine raced a cop on the highway heading home. :beer:

OK I'm from Asheville did we meet at Clark and Son's?? I have an '01 Cobra. If not I hope you are not one of the city POLICE who run's the kids off Patton at midnight on Friday and Saturday nights! I'll be out on Patton Tomorrow night. LOOK FOR THIS CAR....
