Hey folks, I recently installed a set of Weld RT-S71's, wanted to post up the weight of this setup for other members to use as a resource.

S71 Welds:

17x5's with M&H 185/55's 34.2lbs each
15x10's with MT 275/60's 49.2lbs each

OEM Brembo/Premium wheels
19x9 with 255/40 Pirelli's 56.4lbs each

58.6lbs of rotating mass weight savings with the Welds vs OEM 19's/Pirelli's. I also shaved another 24lbs of rotating mass with an Axel Exchange driveshaft, which drastically improved the overall driveability as well. 80lbs shaved from rotating mass, she drives a lot more nibble, cant wait to hit the strip on Sunday!

Looks sweet! Thanks for posting the weights. What pad & off set on the fronts?

Cant remember the pad/offset, bought them from BBR, forum vendor that had them in stock.

run those daily?

No sir, but I have no problems driving 100+ miles each way to the strip with my Weld bigs/littles, I've done it several times in the past. I have a set of 20inch True Forged Chicanes with Nitto's that will serve as non drag strip duty.

Since the fronts aren't connected to the driveline. I realize they rotate. But are you really seeing the same degree of benefit vs. weight savings on the rears?

There is a tremendous difference/benefit in straight line performance with this setup. The responsiveness is night and day, and the traction is excellent. This is my second set of S71's with M&H/MT's, really experienced with this setup.

Went to weld 18 77b over my vossen 20s. I lost weight however the mass of a big ass 18" tire didn't make the weight savings as significant as I calculated with just rims alone. Tires be heavy to yo.

i have my 18x10s out back and have been trying to decide a good daily tire for traction but still have decent tread life. currently im running NT555 and was debating on INVOs
