Look 2 threads down, it's like being the 2nd guy to invent the telephone.

Actually, we both posted at the exact same time. I looked to make sure nobody posted this before I did. Didn't wanna get popped from the repost police.
Got it covered brotha man.

On another note, we will all miss him and cherish the time we had with Dick. Listening to the stories from his friends he was a great guy and young spirit even at the age of 82.

and btw, the show is pre-recorded a few weeks in advance lol. America's original sripted "reality" tv show :smmon:

The industry did indeed lose an icon and someone who helped shape the music industry into what it is today. He will be greatly missed by many. Sad news.

Levon Helm of The Band died today, too. Of throat cancer.

One by one, all the classic early RnR people are dying off.... :(

I recall Dick Clark and "American Bandstand" in 1956. He brought us a lot of great entertainment for many years, opened the entertainment doors for many, and was a great person. He was a giant in the entertainment industry and will be sorely missed!
