From what I heard the 2013 CJ will use the 5.0L motor. I'll see if I can confirm that.

FRPP are suppose to be certifying 2 new 5.0L engine combinations for Stock eliminator that is true. One NA(different then the 2012s 5.0) and another FI.

Curious if Ford is going for the lighter weight the 5.0 brings with it or the power potential as that would have to be pretty big to cover the tried and trued 5.4 blown setup. :shrug: The current SCJ runs low 8s so assuming Ford wants to keep that or better it the power to weight would have to at least stay the same. :rockon:

They will need to certify a replacement for the 5.4 in Stock eliminator as they have had so much weight thrown at them tha they have broke the 500lbs weight rule and has been bumped up to SuperStock in some cars cases(08 manual CJ for instance) and others will be soon to follow and we can't let the DP Challengers hold these records like they are right now. Plus GM is still talking about joining the fight. Now SuperStock we are doing ok but I'm sure ford is going HEMi Hunting soon(Randy Hopkins and Tasca currently are on the tail of the HEMi cars)

Earlier today I received this picture of the NEW 4.5L Whipple Supercharger which is soon to be released. It will be available for the GT500's first and other models after. I've been hearing about this monster for a while but was told to keep it quiet. However it's pretty much ready to go so we wanted to give everyone a first look at it.

It's actually 1mm shorter than 4.0L compressor. I'm also being told it will feature some new Whipple rotor technology.

I'll post more news as I get it.
