About a month ago, which was the last time I was under the car, it was totally clean, no leak, no sign of leak... nothing. I think it is a slow leak that suddenly got worse.

In the pix, you can see the splash damage from it getting on the driveshaft and getting splattered everywhere. There is also oil all over the swaybar and panhard, and the fuel filter skid plate, so I think its leaked a good deal of oil. Needless to say, the car is parked till this is fixed.

It looks like a little of the pinion seal (red) is visible... I dont think I should be able to see that. Thats definatly where its leaking from.

How hard do you guys think this is to fix? From looking at the service manual, it looks like if I disconnect the axel, I should be able to yank the seal out, then pound in a new one, but its gonna be a bitch to get to, and I dont have access to all the tools or the friend as when I did the gears.

Should I try to take it in for warranty?

Your thoughts are welcome....
