Looking at the thread for OK Car Show, I see the Zinc Yellow has the letters painted on his Hood Blanket. Has anyone else done this and what kind of paint was used. I think it looks pretty good.

Haven't done mine yet, but I got an airbrush painter at a local cruse that is going to do it. Any paint that is "washable" will do. Like they paint T-shirts with, as the area will get wet, if you drive in the rain, or wash it.

My only input would be to use a paint that is capable of withstanding the temperatures under the hood. Some paints may bubble from the heat, while others would be unscathed.

Some paints my also discolor from heat, so they might look nice for awhile and then discolor as the heat breaks it down.

I wonder how many coats it took since the hood blanket is porous.

You're right about the heat, I didn't think of that. I'll go to a couple of paint shops around here and ask that question. Play like I'm gonna let them do it. Wish we could have gotten a close-up of that pic.
