GT500 Hybrid KitNew for 2013 is the M-122 Hybrid Cobra Blower Conversion!! We take the amazing power output of a M-122 Shelby GT-500 Blower and fit that in your ’03-’04 M-112 Cobra blower case.

By utilizing the rotor pack & front drive assembly of the GT500 you will have a like new blower assembly, as most GT500 blowers we come across have very low mileage. The Rotors and ¾ inch longer and have a bit more twist for more air movement. Also the Rotor Pack bearings are much larger with better rigidity at higher rotor speeds.

On the Blower Pulley side of things we make a custom hub that fits a BilletFlow Pulley Ring that most customers already have.

Custom Pulleys available on request

The only engine mod required was a water hose fitting that can be seen in the photo below. On the intercooler housing we removed the top hose connector and tapped it with a ¼ pipe thread. (no drilling was necessary) Then we installed a brass 45 degree fitting and added a barb fitting to connect the hose.
Performance AspectOn the Performance Side of things boost was up 1# with running the same pulley size. We then took off the 2.93 pulley that was currently on the vehicle and install a 2.76 pulley which gave the rotors a speed of 16000 RPM at redline which is where the M-122 really hit its stride.

My overall view on this mod is if you have a High Mileage M-112 in need of a complete rebuild on a Cobra or Lighting for a little extra cost you can have a “like new” larger blower that is stronger and can maintain higher rotor speeds while also adding more performance. There are a lot of low mileage cores available due to many people doing TVS swaps, and you would be able to pick one up yourself for an average cost between $300 to $500. If you are unable to find a core we do currently have 2007-2011 cores in stock. The best part is that with this setup all the parts and pieces go back where Ford intended them to be, this retains your collector and resale value.

He did say the rotor swap alone netted one extra lb of boost. So I would asume you can just add 1lb to whatever your m112 setup is. If I'm reading this correctly...

sounds like a good idea for the strengthening of the blower if for nothing else. Not sure I'd spend the money for #1. I guess the extra boost/ power can be seen as an added plus.

Looked like a +50 hp increase to me. Considering Stieg has a $475 DIY kit, just add your own M122 ($350-$400) for parts sourcing and you can have said bump for under $1k. I'll start shopping for an M122 tomorrow if Stieg estimates that bump on my current setup. Addition of E85 and my planned 100 shot would make it a monster!

Review:

i have the m-122 rotor conversion on my posi ported eaton full bolton 2.76-4lb car on 93 oct and have made 528rwh 552 trq on a MD dyno at 16.5 -17 psi in gona put it on a dyno jet hear in a 2 weeks to see if it does more the car has been 126mph in the 1/4

Based on the above and my stg. IV numbers 520/580 SAE on pump gas, 17* timing, 18psi, and running 127 mph trap, it doesn't sound like there's any gain in it for me.

I called Stieg. today with full intentions of doing the hybrid but was told to take full advantage my stg. IV port would need updating, as well as work on the plenum side. I asked whether or not the donor car in the ad had a port before the M122 parts were added and the rep. didn't know. The way the ad reads, it makes you believe 50hp was gained just by dropping in the M122 parts. By the above review it seems almost all of the gains are in the port work not M122 parts.

I also asked about the DIY kit which would only be dropping in M122 parts and he said, "you won't be taking full advantage of the parts." I guess the only way to take full advantage is to spend more money on porting, which leads me to believe the power gains are in the porting not the M122 parts. Considering the above review only shows 8 more hp than my ported OEM and considerably less tq. at just 1 psi less, I'll pass.

I feel if there any substantial gains to be had by the M122 parts (alone) they could be dropped into any ported m112 housing without further modification, and that obviously isn't the case.

steggy anymore info

If it's anything like the lightweight rotors I would say definitely not. Shame as he has ideas just doesn't come through on the data and Q&A. I'd be willing to buy if I could make an informed decision.

What gripes me is coming in posting this and then no where to be found when real questions are asked

Then like me when I called them all kinds of porting up sells to get the rotors to "work best." If they don't do any good without a port, then the port is where the power gain is.

so ive searched google and searched a few other forums and on EVERY FORUM steggy has posted the same first but hasnt answered any questions or posted any info supporting the mod. How can that be good for business??

ive seriously been interested in this particular mod but cant find any INFO to back it up. i made a comment in steggys section back in july but this is a new post in september? would that not mean he is ignoring a potential customer?
