Saturday I installed a used magnaflow catted X. I had cross threaded one of the driver side studs so that side was barely on and leaked really bad. I was CEL free up until thursday. Thursday I took the car to Meineke and they replaced the stud and tightened the driver side down all the way. I can definitely tell it is leaking less (I'm assuming it still leaks a bit because I never had a sleeve made for the driver side). Driving home from school that night my CEL came on. Just got them checked out and I have those two codes. Lean and bad cat both for bank 2.
Would the bad cat code cause the lean condition code or do I have a leak causing the lean code? Bank 2 = driver side correct? Could Meineke have damaged the driver side o2 sensor when they used an oxy/acetylene torch to remove the stud I cross threaded? The car still drives normally and pulls hard through 2nd gear so I'm not sure whats up. Any help is appreciated.
