So apparently FWD + wet roads = Teh understeer. lol:bash:
Around 2 weeks ago I slid my Taurus into a rocky ditch. (The ABS failed the one time I needed it:cuss: ) I reset the fuel switch, backed it out of the ditch & I immedeatly noticed my alignment was off.
Fast foward to today.
I just got back from the local Ford dealer & was told they couldn't perform the 4wheel alignment because my subframe was bent so badly it was nearly touching the tranny, & my left front tie rod is shot. They quoted me $1100 to replace the K-member & tie rod!!! Is there any way around paying out the ass for something like this? Now a second/third opinion is a must, but I'd like to avoid driving it 3 hours to my uncles garage to get it on the lift. (He restores classic cars & has $40,000 worth of tools) HELP!!!
