So a little back story, I bought this car last fall with only 8,000 miles on it. It already had longtubes, KB 2.8H, and 2.5" offroad exhaust. .
I swapped to a 3.25" blower pulley, JLT Max Boost intake and SCT BA3000. It had a half stock half BBK intake, Mafia, and 3.5" pulley before.
In the summer heat last year it made only 565hp/520tq. It was only making 15.5psi and timing was 18*.
Previously it made 610/545 on 93, and 653/582 on 50/50 race fuel at a DIFFERENT dyno, but those were STD numbers, NOT SAE. So probably 595/528 SAE 93 octane and 636/566 on 50/50 race gas. I found a formula that basically stated multiply the STD number by .974 to get SAE.
Anyways I really wanted to get the most out of the car on 93, and maybe in a couple years go to E85. Well, I'm happy to report I'm making 21psi at peak (it doesnt go above 20 psi until 5800rpm), and with 15* of timing (for safety of course), and a pretty rich tune up top it made 629/563 at the wheels. Its an aggressive boost level for 93, and I'll run a gallon or two of race fuel at the track, but it godamn rips! Such better throttle response, low end torque, and it just screams to redline. Same dyno, just better air, 1/4" smaller pulley and belt, and JLT Max Boost intake got me 65rwhp.
Maybe it was just a terrible day to dyno last summer, but in any event I'm making 630 at the tires on regular ole' 93, and I dont even want to fathom what it would make with 23-25psi and E85. :uh oh:
