I definitely like my Para 3, but looking for a smaller option. The Manix 2 sounds great, but is larger than the Para 3.
So far pretty good. It's slim in the pocket and lightweight (but not quite as light as my mini bugout). Blade size is subjective, but if you're not doing anything heavy duty it's perfect EDC length. The CF laminated g10 scales have a good texture. I haven't used it much yet but my similar sized mini bugout I've used for everything from cutting packages open to slicing an apple without issue or wishing I was carrying a larger blade. It's my only Spyderco so I don't have anything to compare it to but the opening action is definitely stiff, but it should easy up with use and if not it could be tweaked with the pivot screw some to make it more flick open.I just asked about the Chaparral- (previous page) curious if it’s small enough to not be annoying in the pocket, but still large enough to be useful.
How do you like it?

Just fyi, Spyderco discontinued the CF chaparral so when they run out they're gone. The mini bugout is also a great lightweight carry, I often forget it's even in my pocket it's so light. Here they are together

They are definitely more compact but get the job done without taking up much real estate in the pocket.dang… didnt know that chaparral was so tiny… its smaller than the mini bug…. Thats too small for me… i definitely need to compensate…
Amazon had one left....bought it....lolSo far pretty good. It's slim in the pocket and lightweight (but not quite as light as my mini bugout). Dig that 3rd one but that hooker is $430....lol.post your Para3!
i think it is a great size. I have been extremely happy with it. Actually am getting the most enjoyment out of it than any of my other knives… the s110v steel is ridiculous…. I swear this mofo almost sharpens itself!

Here’s the Para3. No fancy blade material.
I tried a mini Bugout and returned it. It was too light. Like didn’t know it was their light.
I guess I’m like Goldielocks over here. Didn’t realize the CF scaled version was nearing extinction. Might have to buy one now.View attachment 1808670
I get that, the mini bug is super light. I carry a ridge wallet, my keys and the knife all in the same pocket, so more so during summer I prefer a compact and light knife, especially wearing shorts where pocket space is at a premium. Cooler weather and I'll carry a larger knife, more regularly. Here’s the Para3. No fancy blade material.

I like it. And actually s35vn is a premium steel, bro. We are just ****ing spoiled nowadays.
You ever thought about replacing scales on it?
Haha. Briefly, but I have to draw the line somewhere against modifying everything.
Most ridiculous thing I've read all dayI think Im done buying knives, for a minute…
Most ridiculous thing I've read all day
I'll be in Denver again at the end of the month, will be making my annual pilgrimage to the Spyderco factory store and spending way too much money
