That's awesome! The car sounds freakin great too!

Yep. It only has the coolant tanks and I bolt on slicks when I get to the track. I honestly think it will go 11.2x with better 60ft and better air.

On the 11.43 pass the car felt really good coming out of the hole. I was expecting a 1.6x 60ft. I launched at around 4k rpms and it spun some and took off. I still short shift second. I need to quit doing that. I went in second around 5800rpms. I shifted at 6200 for 3rd and 4th. I made a few other passes that day 11.5x for the most part and high 1.7x short times. The da was in the 600s all afternoon. It was high 60s low 70s outside and 70% humidity. All I need is another .07 to have the record:rolling:

This is some video my friend got with his go pro. The first pass is at a 1/8 mile track. Working on my 60ft times. I pulled a 1.69 that night(7.41 at 95 crappy weather). The second run is from 1/4 miles pass. I'm not sure what I ran this pass. The last pass is the 1/4 and its the 11.43 pass. In the far lane you can see a stock 11 5.0 disappear.

New best 1/8th mile.

Same mods as before. Running 13psi in the tires.

1.67 60ft
7.28 at 96mph 1/8th

Very happy about this. I think this is the fastest gt500 with only slicks in the 1/8th. Going back to a 1/4 mile track on the 30th to try and beat the 1/4 mile record! I might have some video of this run from a friend.

That is awsome. That is good for an 11.2-11.3 1/4 mile time. 11gt500 is now on my list of cars I will own someday.

I think it's possible to beat Ted's time (MD03SVT) with a 2011 since they are ligher and have the 3.73 gear. He ended up running a 10.88@129 with stock blower, stock tune, no nitrous.

This was his 11.36 run...

What other mods did he have done to run a 10.88 on the stock tune?

I agree I should be able to beat his 11.36 because of the 100lbs off the front of my car and the 3.73s. I hope I can run some 11.teens with it. It should do it with the advantages the 11 has over the previous models.

I am strongly considering a set of bogarts for my car instead of any other mods for the time being. I like having a warranty. The weight savings might put me in the 10s with just the bogarts and icing!

I plan on going to the drag strip this weekend or wednesday. It will be my first trip ever! Was hoping you would like to share some pointers on such things as launch point and shifting. And any other info you think is important. I have stock tires currently

BTW my car is also a 2011 with the pp

G/L on stock rubber. I guess you best bet is to run 20psi and get a good burn out not in the water box. Try and leave at 1500rpms or so rolling hard on the throttle and shift soft into second. Its all in the 60ft time. Try a pass with tc on to help with spinning in second and third.
