My PCV system. Look ok???

Bought this car with all the work done to it and the PCV system looks a little different. There is gunk getting in to my intake so going to add JLT separator but it looks like it is routed a little different than others I have seen. Line comes from drivers side valve cover which has a PCV valve, to that T, then to that grey canister, then to the intake. Other side of the hose on the T goes to the pass side of the system. Other side of intake is capped off and there is a PCV valve in the passenger side valve cover as well. Thoughts??

That grey canister is an fuel filter, it must be a budget oil separator.

Thought so. Not catching much though as I can see gunk past it in the line. Going to take it off when I get a JLT. Should there be a PCV valve in the passenger side head???
