His shifts are fast because that bike comes with clutchless shifting option. Cant remember what its called but once you start going you can just WOT bang it thru the gears. Badass
stock gsxr1000 and stock s1000rr dyno runs.
long and shot of it is the s1000rr has 18 peak hp more, in your shift rpm range at full throttle there is about 25hp difference and a higher rev limit for the bmw.

The rider is nuts
Ryan Schnitz was the rider. That should say enough. The man that went well into the 9's on a 636 ninja back in 02 or 03 in 600 SS class. He actually went down this morning somewhere after the 1/8th mile mark. Not sure if he was on this BMW or on his RealStreet bike though. minimal injuries, leathers did there job for the most part.
