I purchased an 05 Power Wagon about 1 1/2 years ago. When I got the Truck the oil was black. It calls for 5w-20;so I started to put Motorcraft oil in it. I would have to add 2qts of oil every 3000 miles the oil was Dark brown or black.
After driving the truck 30,000 miles now and changing the oil when it starts to turn light brown:
I am at close to 4,500 miles between changes and I am only loosing 1/2 qt between changes. Im totally shocked :banana:

Do you think its the 5-20 mororcraft oil or just the regular oil changes?
I know this is Term Talk but I was shocked to see the Truck (5.7 Hemi)took 5-20. And I thought people here would know more about the motorcraft synth. blend.
