lobsters? lol, i dont know why i just really do not like those. it needs something with lots of spokes. maybe some wheels with 8 razor thin spokes. the "lobsters" just look weird with square chunks cut out of the spokes. they would look pretty good if it wasnt for those missing chunks. hell, thats nit picking though, its a fricken :bowdown:carrera S!!!Dave01M3 said:Thanks man...I actually like the Lobster's...:-D

I would say it's a fact. The Carerra is a better car than the GT500. It'll get smoked in a straight line, but all other categories the porsche is ahead.TORQUERULES said:^^^^That is a matter of opinion buddy. Jeez.
Nice car. Love the yellow. It is so cool to see how that body style has evolved over the decades.

GPS based performance computer/accelerometer times (i.e., Driftbox, AX-22, etc..)
PLEASE NOTE: Since there are no 3rd party "timeslips" (such as those provided from actual drag strips), I cannot guarantee the accuracy of any of the below listed times. I can only post the information that the user submits to me. There is also the variance between computers; i.e., the Race Technology LTD AX-22 might be more accurate than a Racelogic Driftbox, or vice-versa. No one really knows for sure. My point is, while comparing these times is fun....please take them with a grain of a salt. Only GPS based, datalogger times will be accepted for this list. No extrapolated times from 1/4 mile timeslips. Also, all submitted graphs must be reviewed for accuracy and approved by a Subject Matter Expert (SME) before the time is posted. Current SME's are 'Jean' for AX-22 graphs, and 'KPG' for Driftbox graphs.
60 -130 mph (96.5-209.2 kph):
5.15 - Markski / RWD / Driftbox / 2 shifts
5.64 - Todd Z / RWD / Driftbox / 2 shifts
5.9x - VRAlexander / AWD / AX-22 *1.3 BAR run / 2 shifts
6.15 - DMK / RWD / Driftbox / 0 shifts
6.26 - Chinitowest / AWD / Driftbox / 1 shift
6.45 - RenntechV12 / GT2 / Driftbox / 0 shifts
7.93 - KPG / AWD / Driftbox / 1 shift
8.10 - 9Eleven / GT2 / Driftbox / 1 shift
8.3x - 996TT STEVO / AWD / AX-22
8.76 - Scotty slc / AWD / Driftbox / 1 shift
9.10 - Bill S / 993 Ruf R Turbo 490 HP / AX-22 / 2 shifts
9.56 - Topgun / AWD / Driftbox / 3 shifts
10.06 - Panas001 / AWD / Driftbox / 1 shift
10.96 - Woodster / AWD / AX-22 / 3 shifts
For the sake of comparison, here are some 60-130 times for very fast street and production vehicles:
4.6 - 1100 rwhp TT Viper
4.8 - 900 rwhp Supra (88GT47, TH400, no NOS)

Their turbo's are not ideal for drag racing, just as they are not ideal for road racing. The GT3's are much better road racing cars.ac427cobra said:Not sure why someone would want to drag race a Porsche?!?
That would be like someone road racing a GT500!??!
Oh, wait.................. Um........ nevermind!!!

Dave01M3 said:Agreed the Pcar is a better car, but it should be at almost twice the price..the Shelby really is a bargain...if you can get one.
Dave here is a road test summary on Pcars from 993-997 including GT3's and Turbos. Look at the 997 3.8, Road and Track ran a 3.9 0-60 and the 1/4 mile in 12.3 @114.8mph. A lot of people felt the car was a ringer, but there were several other tests which had 0-60 in 4.1 and 12.6 @ 112mph. These things are choked off at the factory..the headers and mufflers are a joke on this thing. A guy on 6speedonline ran a 12.7@111mph with a 2.1 60 ft. time when 1.7-1.8 should be a no brainer in these cars with the motors over the rear wheels and 295 rubber. A properly running Shelby would definitely beat a 997S, but the driver better know what he is doing. It is so easy to launch these cars with all that weight and rubber in the back.
