HK's don't really have uppers/lowers. That's an AR platform thing. HK's have a trigger pack that will fit several different grips. Also, an MP5 won't shoot .308. You'd need a different host gun for that (G3, HK-91, HK-51, or their clones). .308 running full auto out of an mp5 form factor is quite a kick.

I think this is probably what the guy I saw at the show purchased.

I have one too. Worst POS gun I've ever owned. I can't shoot a complete magazine out of it without the thing jamming, or having an FTF/FTE.
