Question on Nitto 555Rs

My brother has a 1989 Mustang GT Vert w/ 1990 Gt rims on it. What are the widest Nitto 555Rs that he can fit on thos stock 1990 GT rims? I was thinking 245s, the current tires are 225, I believe. Also, what is a good suggestion for front tires?

275 should work. I don't have the stock wheels anymore but my current set up is 275 x 40 or 45 x 17 I dont know the wall of the top of my head. This is on a 90 GT.

I had an 89 LX 5.0 with the 5 star wheels and 245/45/16 on all 4 corners. You should be able to go 255's on the back if you want.

Some one correct me if i'm wrong, but the 1990 GT wheels were 15x7s?
