Anyone have any reviews on the different types of these rifles/ shotguns?
I'm looking at picking one up and @ the $400 mark hard to go wrong.
any information on them would be great...specifically personal reviews and usage reports.

I like the Saiga 12 simply because it's a freakin 12 gauge that can be modded like crazy.

I don't know much about the rifle version of of the saiga though.

Go to siga12.com. I have had my converted saiga 12 for almost 4 years, and its one of my favorite range toys.

I will check it out at lunch thanks! any reliability issues out of it?

Talk to Bob at Tromix.
$400 is a steal if it's in good shape.

is tromix a website or something?
well i think IIRC the price is 469 OTD, but i think i can get a pretty hefty discount and get it OTD at 400-425.

I suck with it in Battlefield Bad Company 2, that's all I know.

Tromix is top notch.

Although I don't think you are getting OTD for $400 on a Tromix.

LOL nope i looked at their prices... I just want the platform. Kinda like buying a fox to drop in a mod motor into it. everything about it will change just slowly.

Yea. Tromix is GREAT if you have the cash upfront to buy a "turn key" saiga. But not if you are a self modder.

My next shotgun will be a saiga 12 of some kind.

I almost purchased a stock saiga 12 last year at a gun show. The dealer was asking 649.00, I thought it was a good price. This year I'm buying one.

Had a guy in Tenn convert mine and besides my FNH SLP there is no other gun I would want for home defense.
tromix is good for sure but prepare to wait quite a while to get it done as he stays busy. There are others who can do just as good a job as him and in alot less time IMHO.

I have a Saiga .223 rifle, it hasn't given me any trouble in the 4 years i've owned it. I definitely want a Saiga 12 next.

I want to buy one of each... .223, 7.62 x 39, .308, and 12 Ga. They are the best bargains out there and the quality is good.

I remember when my brand new MAK 90 cost me $215 in 1994. Wish I would have picked up 10 of them at that price.

The .223 and 7.62 x 39 can be had for around $350 which is a pretty good deal.
