I'm starting to realize that huskies are WAY more popular of a dog than I originally thought. So let's see them!
This is Atka (means "protecting spirit" in some Alaskan tongue). He's turned out to be WAY more work than I had ever expected, but totally worth it. He is too smart for his own good, but he is very gentle. Out of my two dogs (puggle is the other), he is the only one I am comfortable with around young kids. We've conditioned him enough that he you can lay on him, poke at him and he remains calm and friendly.
When I got him two years ago, he was in a kennel used to peeing on himself, out of shape, weak, and aggressive. He has ZERO aggression left (I can take his food out of his bowl while he is eating and he just sits expecting me to feed it to him :rolling, strong, well mannered, and has learned to walk down stares and tap the door handle when he has to go out to the bathroom. He argues with my wife (literally actually.....pretty funny to watch) and just an all around good dog.
