T56 syncro question

Thanks, yea this came out of a 1999 cobra with the T45, but i've heard contradicting info telling me both ways.

Why would you buy a used synchronizer assembly? They are considered a wear item and if used, will have wear on it.

I can't answer your question but I rebuilt my trans and replaced all the syncrhos and associated parts because I was getting a hard grind between 2-3 and 3-4. I would advise that if your going to undertake such a time consuming job to go ahead replace all the syncros while in there. It won't cost a whole lot more.

I called and spoke to a person and told them what I was doing and they set me up. I spent $441 on rebuild but cracked a tooth on the 5th driven gear as I was pulling it from the mainshaft. You have to pull it to get into the trans at the syncro your replacing so be careful.

The kit I got was all Tremec parts.
