Please provide pictures of the handle installed on the shifter. Which side & direction does the handle go on on the shifter?

I was in such a rush to start installing it I did'nt take the time to
see how the original handle was installed.

Also, what do you all recommend
for the gasket mat'l between the
tranny & shifter?

The stock shifter has a cutout on it. That side goes forward and the handle bolts on the left side of the shifter.

You can use RTV to seal the shifter base to the tranny. Try to make sure the surface is clean when you use the RTV. Get some brake clean, spray it on a clean rag, and don't drop stuff into the tranny.

I just took Joe's Tri-ax off yesterday and put the stock shifter back on. I guess I should've payed closed attention.

Definately should use CobraBob's gasket kit for the install if you're not into lots of tranny noise....
