i went 193 on the stock long block at the texas mile back in march of 08

what kind of power adder did you use? wouldnt the stock piston to wall clearance be a HUGE issue?

just a little update. since the cobra went 200+ mph i have retired her and since sold the car. i have a new venture to do 200+mph in a truck. A turbo L to be exact. truck made 965 to the tire and is running the 1/4 mile at 9.9 at 141. i will be adding a larger turbo going from a pt76 to a pt88. hopefully pick up about 200hp. and go for the 200 mph mark in a pick up truck. if done i will have the most mph in one mile for a truck.

no mine is a red '00 Lightning. and my current turbo setup is a 76mm but i just recvd my new pt88mm and will be installing that along with a parachute...... wait what????!!!!!!

Wow, guess I missed this originally. Beyond impressive.
I'm curious what the intake air temp was after the blower, being in boost that long would surely produce an enormous amount of heat.

If you go back a few pages it tells what it had, but a built tranny and 3.31 gears.

it was a stock motor with ported heads and GT cams. with a 3.4 whipple pulleyed at 23lbs with kooks longtubes 1 7/8" and offroad. car made 735 hp in that configuration.
