........................SOLD.....................................
I've decided to sell my built short block that I've ran since 2011. This thing has been one incredible engine that has never let me down. It has 24,000 miles on it and about 300 passes at the drag strip. It has never used a drop of oil and has never gave me a single hiccup. I decided to swap it out just because I felt like I should. It has never gave me a reason to think it needed to be as my last pass at the drag strip before I pulled it out was a 9.7x letting off at the 1000ft make. The same day it trapped 152 and 153 back to back.
When I took the engine apart I did find a very small problem, the timing guide pins had broken and it put a small notch in the boss. I have no idea how long it had been that way cause the car ran the same from the day that I installed it to the day I took it out. You can screw new pins in the hole just fine now or you can do what I did to my new block when I found the problem. I drilled and tapped the block to use 5/16" Titanium studs. It can be sent to the machine shop to be filled and filed easily also.
The block has the typical Ford sprayed cylinder liner. It has some growing in it but by no means is as bad as I've seen on many blocks. It has never used any oil or been down on compression, but, since its out of the car it would be wise to go ahead and sleeve it. It would run just fine like it is but I'd go ahead and bullet proof it.
2011 Block
4340 Manley Pro I beams
2618 Manley billet pistons with Ceramic coating
Total Seal file fit rings
Clevite Comp bearings
ARP hardware everywhere
ARP head studs
Rear main housing
ARP crank pulley bolt
Timing cover dow pins
Timing tension arm pivot pins
New timing chain Crank sprocket
That's what I can think of right now. I have NO interest in shopping this thing.
$4500 Message me if you're interested and I'll send back a phone number. Thanks everyone.
