My 100mm auxiliary doesn't rub on a 3.2, and I have a metco same as timspony. Could it be the brand of auxiliary?

Not sure if this works with a vmp....but if it does, it sure takes the guess work out. You can run the same belt for multiple pulley combos, like a pump gas and race gas (e85) tune

I tried to use a 73.3 with a 2.6 upper, stock lower, 100m aux idler and vmp stock size idlers. That belt isn't going on there! Damn it!

Think you need a 74". The only way i can get my belt on is to put the snub idler on after the belt is on the pulley. Also, you may want to remove the tensionor stop inorder to accommodate a smaller belt

Rather than trying to do all the different belt combinations for every single setup. I recommend you just list the different belt sizes needed with stock idlers, and lower. Then from there point people to metco chart to determine what they need to do from there. That's what I did with my Whipple, worked perfectly.

Thanks Rick

any one with this compo

Belt size: NA
Upper pulley size: 2.8
Lower pulley size: stock
Size and quantity of idlers: BF 3*100mm
Auxiliary idler pulley size and which manufacturer: BF 92mm
Alternator pulley size: stock
...

Did you figure out which belt you needed? I will have a similar set-up just with a 3.0 upper/2.6 upper for race gas.

I use a Gates HD Green belt with the 2.8 upper, stock lower, 100 metco aux idler and vmp stock size idlers. When I put the 2.6 on the 74 belt was very easy to put on. That is why I thought I may need a shorter belt. Gates no longer makes a 73.5 belt in the HD series. I was just testing on the car on the 2.6 pulley with Torco. With the cold weather here lately, I was hitting 21 psi. So after that I jumped out of it and put the 2.8 pulley back on there for the time being. I may get a few 100mm idlers to replace the stock size 90mm idlers, so when I run the 2.6 upper again the 74in belt will be a bit tighter.
