Want a block to hold 1300+ without sleeves?
Want to pay less than half of what Ford Racing lists a Gen 3, 5.2 block for? $1680 vs $3650?
Here you go. Ford p/n: GR3Z-6010-F. This is a 19' GT350 block. Ford ships Gen 3, 5.2 blocks when you order these.
This is an Aluminum block. This IS NOT an iron block.
Miscellaneous info
1) You'll need block and bellhousing dowels
2) Use ARP head stud kit: 256-4702 (same as 11'-12' Coyote blocks)
3) ARP main stud kit: 156-5803
4) In case you want to use 2020 GT500 head gaskets, the p/n's are: KR3Z6051A and KR3Z6051B
5) This block is torque plate honed from Ford. My latest intel from inside of Ford is, don't touch the bores.
6) Gen 2 oil filter base p/n: FR3Z-6881-K
7) A small piece had to be cut off of the block in order to clear the TVS
lower intake. (Photo added below)
8) Differences between this (GT350) and p/n: M-6010-M52B (Predator) are as follows:
Predator includes dowels, GT350 doesn't (see #1, above ^).
Predator has oil squirters in the valley and are fed off the main oil feed.
GT350 has squirters in the main journals.
Block off plates are p/n: M-6868-M50
Oil squirters are p/n: AA5Z-6K868-A (I'm running squirters as my car sees nearly 100% street use).
The Predator has an extra machining step for more rod clearance, for the oem Predator rod.
The GT350 didn't require any rod clearancing for use with the rod I chose (see below).
In case anyone wants it, here is what I chose for rods/pistons/rings/bearings with my build, using this block:
Manley H-Tuff Rods 15042R-8 (5.933")
Manley Platinum Extreme Duty pistons (3.70" / 11.0:1), 598070CE-8
Total Seal AP series rings for 3.70" piston
Clevite H series, coated rod bearings: cb1442hnk
Clevite H series, coated main bearings: ms2292H
