wat the hell is a gt300?

i was driving today and saw a blue 05+ mustang with bodykit, hood, bullitt whieels and hood pins that said GT300 on the bottom of the doors. wat the hell?

ps. also saw a gt500 today it looked really mean first one i've seen.

The Gt shelby will have 325 Hp and it is a 350 not a 300 it was probably just a modded s197
