What has changed in your life since joining SVTP?

I didn't realize how long ago I joined this site and what major changes my life has had.

When I joined, I had just moved back from Austin, got engaged and moved into a new apartment. Purchased the Lightning, which is the reason I joined. I was working at Home Depot.

Since then, I got married, have a 2.5 year old son an 11 month old daughter, doing some upgrades on our home so that we can move into a larger one. I have a great career selling equipment. Sold the Lightning and driving a VW work car and my wife drives a Highlander. Contemplating a GT500 later this year, as to get back into something with some power.

Lost my grandfather late last year. I also have two wonderful nieces now with another on the way.

I wouldn't have guessed any of it back then.


What's changed for you?

(I'm sick in bed with the flu and I've read all of SVTP in the past 24 hours. I need new material.)

Enough to make it the longest post in SVTP history. Instead i'll just say that i'm thankful to still be around to bug all of you.

Lets see, bought my 97 cobra (reason for joining this forum), blew up the cobra, sold the cobra, bought the Lightning, bought my 07GT, Changed jobs, bought my 03 Z06, lost my new job, crashed the Z06, lost my license, meet my future wife, moved in with my future wife, moved to a new place with my future wife, got married, was unemployed for 18months, moved to Denver Colorado for my wife's schooling, got a job, got my license back, bought my stealth, sold my stealth, baught my White coupe, sold the white coupe, bought my blue coupe, blew up the blue coupe, sold the blue coupe, lost my job, been unemployed for 5 months, now sitting here typing this reply.

Thats it, in a nut shell.

I graduated high school and college, multiple jobs. Multiple cars.

Lets see, Moved from Guam to Petaluma CA, Bought my Cobra off my dad, Moved from Petaluma to Point Reyes, CA, my wife and I had a child, moved from Point Reyes to Mobile AL.

Car related:

Bought my Cobra
Blew the stock motor
Got robbed out of 8k from a shop
Bought new built motor
Blew up stock transmission
Bought T-56 mag and Spec clutch
Did a built fuel system
Did 4.10's
Blew up built motor
bought new AED built bulletproof motor
Spent all in all around 40k on the car since I bought it.. Maybe more.. Probably more..


So really.. I have all you ****ers to thank for my modding addiction.. Luckily I'm running out things to do, so it's like my stash is slowing running out.. So really thank you SVTP I'm broke. hahahaha J/k

Well, let's see....

Sold the 03 Cobra, bought a 2007 Black GT/CS.
Father-in-law passed away, moved into a home with my husband and mother-in-law.
Husband passed away, moved back into my house.
Totalled the GT/CS, bought a 2008 GT.
Got a new grandson, went to Panama, got a new granddaughter.
Moved in with my son and his family to rent my house out, moved back into my house six months later.
Bought a house in Jacksonville, Florida and bought a house in Las Vegas.
Took a trip to Seattle, Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas.
Son and his wife moved in with me then moved back into their house and are in the process of divorcing.

That pretty much brings me up to current.

Became Mod, sold Cobra, life sucks sometimes and SVTP gets me through it. lol

Bought 2003 Cobra.
Been pissing around with it ever since.
Had a heart attack in 2005.

Stress induced more chest pains. Probably going to get 4 way bypass eventually. Not much left to stent.
Sucks to get old.
Planning on getting a fully loaded 2013 GT500 Candy Apple Red.
Then Let The Modding begin

Finished college, went from being basically dirt poor my entire adult life to making a kick ass salary, moved to Alaska, bought a GT500.

Got license

Bought 94 explorer for a winter beater (split it with my brother)

Graduated HS

Sold my portion of the explorer off to my brother

Bought 96 bronco as DD

Enrolled in local county college

Bought a horse

Transferred out to DeVry U

and thats where I sit today....
