A new forum appears!!!

To start it off, let's hear what you people do to make your babies look beautiful.

I wash my car using a clean sponge and Meguire's car wash soap. Then I use a leaf blower to dry the car. This also works great if I've washed the engine. It dries out the electronics well. Next, I polish or sometimes clay bar. Sometimes I'll use 3M's Hand Glaze to bring out the shine. Then it's a coat or two of P21S paste wax to protect the finish.

I own a detail shop so mine gets washed regular. I dry it with a lamb skin shammy and wax it about every other month unless it just needs it. Basically it gets a basic detail once or twice a week.

1.) rinse car down
3.) spray engine bay with Griots Garage engine cleaner, rinse off, start engine, idle, rev 3-4 times, turn off car
2.) spray on Griots Garage wheel cleaner...wait a min or two and spray off
3.) use Griots Garage soap and wash my car, rinse, dry
4.) use Griots Garage speedshine and claybar
5.) use Pro Gold and buff my car
6.) use Zymol and wax my car with orbital waxer
7.) clean interior

Wow. I thought I was the only one that used a leaf blower to dry the car. My neighbors used to look at me like I was an idot. I would use it to get the water out ofthe cracks before using an absorber for final wipe down. I use exclusively zaino to polish the car.

Well currently I'd wash the car with Meguairs (sp?) then I'd clay bar the car, wash it again with same soap, then I'd apply some NXT. Seems to work pretty good. I ordered a PC online the other day and I'm going to order a whole boatload of stuff to use, so I'll let you guys know how it turns out. :)

1. pull into Turtle Wax
2. get out of car and say "super turtle"
3. watch it go through the wash
4. hand kid 3-4 bucks and drive away

I am lazy, hate working on or washing my car myself.

Wash 1 -2 times per week usually with Meguiars Gold Soap.
Use all kinds of polish and waxes from Meguiars and Griot's Garage, but currenty like the NXT on my black Cobra. Apply with a PC and white pad. Finish with micro fiber.....

I have a 5 gallon bucket of Texaco's car was soap from when my grandpa was a texaco dealer(quit in 1972 ha!) it is powderred, but I get my soap mixture with some vegetable oil, then I was the entire car. Rinsing as I go, dry with a soft towel. Then depending if swirl-makrs ect. show up I either buff by machine, or hand with wax-shops safe-cut to take any imperfections out, go over whole car with a safe rag to remove and left-over residue, then I wax with wax-shops superglaze liquid wax. I do the tires, afterwords, and motor every-so often. It hardly ever gets dirty.

Depending how dirty, I power wash it (car wash) style. Otherwise strickly Meguiars gold class wash, Meg. Cleaner wax, Meg. Gold Class. Depending on the shine a longevity of the wax I'll use Meg. Cleaner wax, and 3M Liquid Wax and Showroom glaze works everytime.

Rinse, Wash/lather, rinse, dry. Depending on mood maybe a coat of Mothers Caranuba(sp?) wax. If i feel like getting into it or it's been a while, I'll go balls to the wall...

1) Rinse, Clean, dry
2) Claybar
3) Wash, clean, dry
4) 3 step Mothers Wax.
(This pretty much kicks the shit out of me, I avoid till about twice a year)

I used Zaino for about 5 years and never tried anything new. I wish I would have tried other stuff sooner.
