I have intake/exhaust and with the roads here in AZ, I have wheel hop almost every time above 5k RPM in 1st gear. It sucks. Brace will be ordered soon.

I would recommend pretending 1st gear is just to get the car rolling. In my car 2nd gear has become what 1st used to be, unless I've got my stickies on, but they have no tread, :nonono::dw: so I don't use them on the street, for the most part.

But an early roll on, in second, with street tires will spin without hop.

I just can't mat it, so I ride the edge of the grip, and modulate the throttle, to get what I can out of whatever grip is there.

It's kind of a nutty feeling to have to lift a little and do that in 3rd too.

FUN THOUGH!

a brace will not help with your wheel hop

it only helps with the shock of hard launches (by stabilizing the thin cover)

on the other hand if you are staying in it when you get wheel hop, your half-shafts are living on borrowed time

I get off right away. Guess no more 1st gear pulls for me
