Damn Alternator

Just rolled over 18k miles.

and on my 3rd Ford OE alternator

This is BS, Ford should warranty them for life, it's definitely a design flaw.

Just to clarify this is a no tune or pullied terminator.

Just venting, but damn it Pisses me off.

I'm at 25K and the one OE replacement was put in at 18k?, I think.
It is still working.
I did put a 3.2 Metco pulley on it though, to slow it down with my stock lower.

If you don't want to try the pulley ratio reduction thing, plumb some ducting to it.

They are being spun too hard, on an engine that gets wound up pretty regularly, they are also packaged in a too small case(for the amperage rating), and that is tucked away much lower from much air flow, than most Ford Alternator installations.
