So I have had this car as an ongoing project for the past 9 years, paying attention to basically everything but the interior. When I bought the car, the driver seat already had a rip in it so I never really maintained the seats the right way. I can attribute the interior being held up so well with not any fade due to 5% tint around and 50% on the windshield.

Anyway, I purchased a set of used Recaro Evo leather seats, front and back, shipped, for $900 off ebay. I started a thread having curiosity as to how Saleen matched their front Recaros using the same leather and pattern. What I ultimately did was have an interior guy take the Evo backseat (same leather and pattern) and recover my Mustang backseat to keep everything matched. Their wasn't exactly enough leather off the big areas so he had to use some color matched material but the center material is a direct match to the center of the front seats.

I'm very pleased with the way everything turned out. I kept the factory power bracket for the driver seat and reused the manual one for the passenger seat. An adapter bracket was used to mate the base of the seats to the OEM brackets. Also, the driver seat was a little more warn than the passenger so I swapped them so they would wear more evenly, turned the recline knobs toward the center console vs away. Also, the only negative to these seats is there is no quick release to get into the back seats because they are from a sedan.

Without further ado, here is how it turned out:

And here is the car they went into (crappy pics, all with iPhone)

All comments are welcome. I was in the market for some Recaro's out of the Cobra R but I'm glad I went this route. When its all said and done, I have matching leather front and rear seats with money left over to pay the mortgage.

Those seats look awesome. The whole car is sick. I would just ditch the red door panels and call it a day

That's really nice! Those seats are super comfortable. I've thought more than once about getting a set!

thanks for the kind words ya'll. about the door cups- i can understand they could be an eyesore but reasoning behind them is they tie in with the 10th anniversary calipers. also, with everything being black inside, its good to at least have something pop. thanks ya'll

I love your car. I used to see it sitting outside of bev's old shop. It was one of the main reasons I got my 98.

Yeah man his Lexus is sick. Also, look into TL. I have an 02 TL-S as a DD I bought with 86k on it, now has 192k- best thing I've ever bought. Just make sure tranny has been replaced. The car has 260hp, interior is refined, great mileage, and timeless design.

looks good, I think the door cups are fine, as long as you don't have sixty other blingy things floating around not a problem. And the seats look fantastic.

Looks like it was done at the factory, I like the brushed aluminum accessories in my black interior. I saw a Mystic at a show and he did the various pieces in the interior painted in the mystic, it looked good but probably cost him a mint.
