Mustang week prep is beginning!

I haven't done much on this car since picking up my track car (check out the build in my sig) I am currently in the middle of an IRS swap in that car.

Anyhow I realized mustang week is right around the corner and I need to do some thing on the car (and my tow rig) before I head out.

I am trying to nail down dates to get the tail pipes finished up, busy schedules has prevented this however I hope we can knock this out really really soon.

In the mean time I removed all my tint.

On the back window the defrost came off with the tint... so I scraped all the lines with the razor blade to make sure it all is removed. I will end up getting new glass without the lines since I don use defrost.

Next im talking to my welder to see if he can make me a wind guard for the front of my trailer.

And last but certainly not least.... Need to get my truck bulletproofed and ready for the 4400 mile drive! Its currently in now being looked at to determine if the turbo should be rebuilt or not.

I hope to keep this updated more with my progress to mustang week.

Love your car. Why do we always have 2 too many projects going at any one time? It’d be a little different without a full-time job eating my days....but still...

I like the tint , sets these cars off , and it is so much cooler inside , and saves the interior from sun damage .
Are you going to retint the windows ?

Thanks man, Im looking forward to having them both finished and enjoying them.

I agree, I will for sure be retinting it. I want to get a non defrost rear window in there and then retint. Out here in AZ we need it real bad. I will do 5% all around and 35% on the windshield.

Making some progress on the tail pipes.

The hardest side is the passenger side so we decided to tackle this first. The driver side should be easier.

We have a V band clamp on the piece going up and over the axle so I can drop the front half, on top there is a knuckle joint for some adjustment and to be able to take out the tail section.

The tail pipes are hanging lower than they normally will here, they will be brought up a hair.

looks great. makes me miss my 95 that I did the same work on.

you can run SN95 mounts which would go under the frame rail. would clean up the inner frame rail, but you would still see them so it's not a drastic change

Do you have any pics or more information in this. Running the SN95 swaybay mounts under the frame rail on a Fox.
You can PM me so we don't muddy up this thread

The passenger side on mine was a PITA as well and still isn't perfect IMO. They spent like 4 hours on an already mandrel bent tailpipe. I will need to get mine takin in about a 1/4-1/2 inch to make it flush with the driver side. I should have went the route you did and just had them done customer but it is what it is. Lookin good man, can't wait to see it with the tails finished. Enjoy Mustang week and be safe out there.

Yeah, its a lot easier starting from scratch. A lot more expensive but easier.

Can I ask where you the clutch and brake pedal covers?

Got them from Sparco.
