Lucas oil stabilizer is junk. And ford hasn't helped us by spec'ing an xw-20 in performance engines requiring at least an xw-30 or xw-40.
If a person uses this stuff first off it contains no additives,so you a diluting the add pack the oil company has decided to formulate it with.
Secondly it thickens the oil,if you want thicker oil then buy thicker oil, with a full strength add pack.
Third it airates the oil. Air is not a good lubricant.
This stuff doesn't do anything but separate a fool from his money.
Unleashed beast has already spelled out why this stuff is garbage. It raises oil pressure by reducing the flow of the oil which slows the rate of oil getting to moving parts.
That plastic display at the parts counter looks cool but an engine isn't made of plastic nor is it nice and cool.
Put some of this stuff in a frying pan then light a propane torch and heat up a spot under the pan. This stuff actually flows away from the heat. Heat repels it.
Think it's still good for an engine,a hot one.
